Product Line
| The product line includes the
Venus TV computer system platform released in Shenzhen, China in Oct. 1999, ITE
plans to launch a complete platform featuring all the required advanced functions of DVD,
Cable modem, ADSL, 3D Graphic for the advanced TV computers and advanced Set-Top Box.
In addition, ITE has launched the full set of Platform Builder
Reference Design 2.12 (PBRD 2.12) platform tailored especially for Windows® CE
embedded applications market. The PBRD 2.12 provides Windows®
CE-based platform solution, which includes
Hitachi’s SH7709A/133MHz processor, which is the most advanced in Hitachi’s SH3
series. The platform also integrates ITE’s advanced LCDC VGA
controller IT8181 highlighting the powerful 2D engine and the Super I/O IT8673F,
shortening customers’ “time-to-market” in developing the Windows® CE
system. To meet the customer requirements, ITE will continue to
develop the latest OS and Embedded NT for Microsoft Windows®
CE system applications.

| With the view of the Venus project that
Microsoft launched in Mainland China, ITE presents the chipsets specifically designed for Venus as well as the Turn
key design platform, IH6060.
Venus is a dedicated set-top box (STB) running Windows® CE, and
is the first TV STB dedicated for Chinese market from Microsoft. Venus aims Internet
access, education, and entertainment markets. Using the TV screen as the monitor,
Venus enables users to browse through the Internet, play games, watching SVCD/DVD and can
run Windows® CE - based software, such as MS WORD, Paint, etc. White Paper
