Taipei, Taiwan, March 16, 1998--Integrated Technology Express, Inc. (ITE) a local emerging IC design house was awarded the Asia-Pacific Corporate and Product Excellence awards on March 14, 1998. Mr. Wang Tso-yung, head of the Control Yuan, presented the awards and certificates to Steven Huang, ITE’s Vice President and Jet Huang, ITE’s Director of Marketing.

ITE was awarded the Golden Earl Award for its IT8691F, which is an ISA-based highly integrated Advanced Control Environment I/O device. The IT8691F provides all the functions required by legacy Super I/O, Smart Card Reader, Enhanced Thermal Controller and Cooling Device Controller.

In addition, the Corporate Excellence award recognized ITE’s excellent performance as a 2-year old start-up with great potential.

The event organizer also expressed the hope that local IC corporations will continue to focus intensive efforts in strengthening R&D expertise. They also said they hoped the IC industry would work together to march into the international market.
