ITE Exhibits Intelligent Peripheral Controller (IPC) Series at 2^nd APEC Technomart

Taipei, Taiwan, January 12, 1998--ITE, the first Windows^® CE System Integrator (SI) authorized by Microsoft in the Asia Pacific Region, will exhibit its Windows CE IPC series, and its system integration technology at the 2^nd upcoming APEC Technomart from January 21-25.

The controllers to be displayed will highlight ITE’s exciting IPCs and other products currently under development.

ITE was authorized last year by Microsoft, and is the only Window CE SI in the Asia Pacific Region and Taiwan. To facilitate the integration of Windows CE, ITE created an SI Division to provide complete, highly integrated H/W and S/W solutions for OEMs interested in Windows CE system development. ITE is well positioned to fulfill OEM needs for advanced system integration services for Windows CE-based platforms.

In addition to the IPC controller, ITE will also demo 2^nd generation Handheld PC platforms, Sub sub-notebook prototypes and complete H/W and S/W technical services for Windows-Based Terminals (WBTs). Each of these applications are ideal for system development, and highly recommended for Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. The market promises substantial benefits for vendors interested in Windows CE-based platform development in Taiwan.

These new product platforms will be the first of their kind on a local or global scale to be demonstrated. It is a show you can’t miss. At the APEC fair, ITE is eager to show its ambition to become a technology leader in Taiwan’s information electronics industry in the APAC Region and the international arena.
